1st quarter: Basic writing and reading techniques– review and enhance; Narrative/Descriptive paper

2nd quarter: The Journey of the Hero ( Literary Terms, Short Stories, Mythology and The Odyssey); Unexamined Life paper

3rd quarter: Romeo and Juliet; Research paper

4th quarter: Our America; A Tale of Two Cities ( honors); My America paper

We will also be doing a vocabulary program that consists of Greek and Latin roots. Students will receive lists along the way, and I have created online flashcards and games at quizlet.com. See the Roots page under Unit Info for links.
